Signature Asian Cuisine is a cozy restaurant with elegant decorations and pleasant staff. We fell in love with their burgundy and dark brown color scheme with some bright red lighting as the accent. Also, some oriental decorations are used to add a touch of the nature-centric Asian feel.

As their menu and interior photo will be used on menu and brochure printing, the biggest challenge of this job is to keep the actual lighting of this restaurant to show its relaxing atmosphere but also to show the bright and colorful food in the photos. Our photographer has set the flash not too strong but concentrate enough to focusing on the food.

After the lighting problem has been solved, the colorful food and drink and the dark background creates a prefect contrast!

Although we were totally exhausted after the two long days at the Chinese New Year Fair, we did have lots of fun!

The original plan of our booth was the Chinese New Year photo-taking on one side and the appointment booking on the the other. However, after setting up the red background and the flash light, there was almost no space left! Ended up we have to set the photography area at the back and the customer service staff sitting at the front. Also, instead of setting a pair of flash light, we just set up one and the outcome was still good. Furthermore, a million thanks to the PL&B staff! They helped us tp solve that lack-of-space issue by offering us some space from their booth. Especially thanks to Ellis, she really helped us a lot through out the fair!

Firstly we were quite worried about the response of this new photo-taking idea from the customers that attend a traditional Chinese New Year fair. Thanks god everyone was having funny when doing the photo-taking! They love the traditional Chinese clothing a lot, especially the kids were just too cute after putting the clothes on and holding the Chinese New Year props. You can tell the happy new year atmosphere from these portraits!

We intended to show the team spirit and the professional image of the PL&B Staff from the portraits.

Staff from PL&B were very friendly and co-operated, they dressed in the same tone and tried to hold the same posture in order to maintain the consistency. That made the outcome is perfect to be used on their company website.

We had a well-planned driving route before we started driving to Calgary for this job. This is because we needed to go nine locations in eight hours plus the six hours driving Edmonton – Calgary round way!

Also, that was an on-location job, we need to set up the photography booth inside each store. There was not much space but the outcome turns out pretty good!

Even we were tired when driving back, thank god for the nice weather so that it’s still good to drive three hours back home.

We were super excited about the Torch Relay took place in Edmonton! So, we arrived Sir Winston Churchill Square at 5pm to reserve ourselves a good spot.

Before the torch arrived, there were about 2 hours of performances, including bands, singers, dancers, and various other performers and entertainment. Our photographer already took tons of photos about the performances!

At about 7pm, Olympian Doreen Ryan arrived with the torch. Everyone was so touching at that moment because of the Olympic, Canadian and Edmontonian spirit! Many people including me were waving and cheering to Doreen to show our respect to her, and she also waved back to us and I could see she was just feeling the same as the crowd!

I will never forget this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Thank you so much Sonata staff! This photo event was exclusive to Sonata School of Music’s students and parents. Since we were preparing this event in Edmonton, with the help of the Sonata Staff, it could be running smoothly in Calgary on the event day.

This is our first DVD box set production! It consists of six discs, in DVD or Blur-ray format.

Thanks for our videographer and editor did a great job! She recorded and edited six concerts to be approximately four hours of footage.

Sonata School of Music X’mas Concert 2009 took place in Calgary. We started driving from Edmonton at 5am and arrived Calgary at about 8am!

That was the first time we attend a music concert. We were little bit worried about our strength since there were six concerts taking place on that day, running from early morning till afternoon. Ended up the outcome is pretty good because the performances were entertaining and kept our photographer and the videographer working happily throughout the day.

This is the actual menu board designed by our designer with the use of the photos by our photographer. We love the actual product a lot!

With the help of the spot lights, the menu is so eye-catching and easy to read. At the day we went there after installation of the board, we did saw it caught customers’ attentions and they did ordered the food. That’s for sure what we like to achieve!

We have been to the Calgary Banzai Sushi & Teriyaki House last year, and this time we went to the Edmonton store, save us the long trip, haha!

Food and customer service in both stores are same high quality! Edmonton store had couple nice hugh size booths, which could fit six to eight people, that’s a really spacious for us to take photos.

Also, by comparing the two sets of photos of now and one year ago, we are so glad that our photographer has significant improvement!
